Project Description
The project aims at helping to increase the institutional delivery coverage at peripheral health centers around Gondar, and increase quality of intra partum care.
Project Agreement With The WeObservatory
With the Department of Midwifery of the University of Gondar, the NEPI and the WeObservatory, 20 midwives receive an intense 18 days training on BASIC ESSENTIAL OBSTETRIC & NEWBORN CARE (BEMONC), based on the national Training Manual developed by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in 2013.
Planned Activities 2014 - 2015
- Establish the training programme and budget, share CVs of consultants and list of participants
- Elaborate the Collaboration agreement between Department of Midwifery of the University of Gondar, NEPI and the WeObservatory of the Foundation Millennia2025
- Deliver the 18 days training to 20 midwives of the peripheral healthcare centers
- Evaluation and reporting
- Photos, videos and stories of the training
- Collection of quotes from participants and consultants
